  • 2 hours of private use of the entire play space + party room

  • Tables & chairs for up to 16 children (including the birthday child)

  • Accommodates up to 40 guests total (children + adults)

  • 1–2 dedicated party assistants to help with setup, serving, cleanup, and even capturing candid photos

  • Filtered water dispenser

  • Cake or cupcake stand provided

  • Personalized birthday signage on our birthday board

THE BLOOM party PACKAGE

For families who want a beautiful, coordinated celebration without the extra work.

Includes everything in The Root Party Package, plus:

  • Simple decorations in your choice of color palette or theme (includes plates, napkins, cutlery, tablecloths for children)

  • One balloon tower in your chosen theme colors

  • Adorable party hats for the kids

  • Three plain pizzas + water and juice for children (Please note: if you do not want the pizza + juice as part of your package, we will refund you $30)

THE LITTLE ONE Party package

We’re proud to be a space thoughtfully designed to celebrate first birthdays, one of the most special milestones in your baby’s life. From the cozy size of our play space to the intentionally curated play items for young toddlers, River & Root is perfect for an unforgettable first birthday.

The Little *ONE* Party Package includes everything in our Bloom Party Package, plus:

  • A vintage high chair styled with a custom tassel banner in your choice of colors

  • A hand-embroidered birthday crown for your child to wear and take home

  • A personalized Birthday Keepsake Book crafted from sustainably sourced wood, with laser-engraved details and your child’s name — an heirloom designed to be brought out each year, capturing birthday notes, photos, and memories through childhood

  • A Polaroid photo station with film included, so guests can add photos and notes to the guest book during your celebration

  • Use of our Baby’s First Year photo display board — a timeless, custom-crafted wooden piece featuring a photo space for each month of your child’s first year (for event-day use only)

BEYOND FEBRUARY

We’re currently booking birthday parties through February 1st while we fine-tune our timing, capacity, and materials during our first few months of opening. Because this is a brand-new space, we want to make sure every detail feels just right before we release additional dates.

If you’re hoping to celebrate with us later in 2026 and want to be sure to hold your spot, you can place a $100 fully refundable hold to secure your preferred date and time in advance. This amount will be applied toward your total once your date opens for booking.

If, once dates are released, any updates to timing or pricing or options don’t work for you, your hold will be refunded in full — no commitment required.

We know planning a party comes with lots of little questions, and our goal is to make your celebration as smooth and stress-free as possible. Here a few helpful details and guidelines that will help you plan with confidence — so when the big day arrives, you can focus on celebrating and soaking up the memories.

How many guests can we invite?

Our space is cozy by design — just the right size for meaningful celebrations and easy conversation. We can welcome up to 40 guests total, including children and adults.

That said, we’ve found that around 30 guests tends to feel the most comfortable and allows everyone plenty of space to play, relax, and enjoy. The more guests you invite, the busier the space will feel — but we’ll make sure it’s beautiful and ready either way.

Non-mobile infants (who will be held in carriers or not yet crawling) do not count toward this total, so your tiniest guests are always welcome.

Do we have private use of the space?

Yes! Every River & Root party includes exclusive use of our full play space and flex room. No other families or events will be in the space during your celebration, so it’s truly your time to relax and enjoy.

Can we bring food?

Yes — absolutely! You’re welcome to bring wraps, sandwiches, hoagie trays, snack-style items, fruit and veggie trays, and desserts like cupcakes or cookies, etc.. To help us keep the space tidy and comfortable for all families, we just ask that messy or spill-prone foods (like pasta, rice, quinoa, or saucy dishes) stay home. Sternos or open flames for warming food aren’t permitted, but cold items and room-temperature trays work perfectly.

Tip: Think “picnic-style” — fresh, simple, and easy to serve!

What about decorations?

We love seeing how families make the space their own! You’re welcome to bring tabletop décor, freestanding decorations, and items to decorate our open shelving.

To keep our space looking its best for every family, we just ask that:

  • Nothing is taped, pinned, or hung on the walls

  • No glitter, confetti, confetti-filled balloons, or pinatas

If you’d like coordinated decorations without the setup stress, our Bloom Package includes beautiful, themed table settings that match your celebration.

What type of play will my child find at River & Root? Will they enjoy it?

Our space is designed especially for children ages 0–4, with a thoughtful balance of movement, sensory, and pretend play. While we’re a smaller, cozy play space, every inch has been intentionally curated to support development, creativity, and connection.

Here’s a peek at what you’ll find inside:

  • ⛺️ Campsite Area: Our signature zone featuring a larger-than-life RV play camper for pretend adventures — complete with a mini kitchen, driver’s seat, campfire setup, pretend s’mores, dress-up play, and weather boards.

  • 🌲 Imaginative Play Corner: A tent and grill with pretend play items to “cook” and create outdoor-inspired fun.

  • ⚖️ Movement Zone: A seesaw, tunnel, and a variety of climbing/balance boards to build coordination and confidence through safe, open-ended movement.

  • 🎵 Playground Area: A small indoor play set with a slide, stairs to climb, a tunnel to crawl through, and sensory wall panels.

  • 👶 Infant Area: Designed for babies learning to crawl, pull up, and explore safely. Includes pull-up bars, soft mats, and Montessori-style infant toys that support early milestones.

  • 💡 Light + Build Table: A light table with magna tiles, wooden blocks, and manipulatives for building, stacking, and exploring cause and effect.

When hosting a birthday party or special event, we can flexibly adapt the play environment — for example, transforming the infant area into additional toddler play space if your celebration is geared toward older toddlers.

Every area in River & Root was designed with input from pediatric occupational therapists and child development experts to ensure our environment supports the social, physical, and sensory needs of young children.

We may be a small space — but every detail was created with care, intention, and a deep understanding of how little ones learn and grow. 🌿

I know the space is designed for children 0-4, can older siblings/guests attend?

Yes — we know that birthdays often bring together the whole family, and we warmly welcome older siblings or cousins to join in the celebration. Because our play space is thoughtfully designed for children ages 0–4, we just ask that older children play gently and remain mindful of our littlest guests while they’re in the play area.

We’ll have cozy seating and open areas where older kids can relax, help celebrate, or enjoy a snack if they prefer not to play.

When can we arrive to set up?

If you’ve chosen our Root Package, you’re welcome to arrive 30 minutes before your party to begin setting up. Our team will have the space clean, ready, and waiting for you.

For families who’ve chosen the Bloom Package, we’ll take care of setup for you — just show up ready to celebrate!

Can we add extra time to our party?

Yes! We know it can be hard to say goodbye when everyone’s having fun. If you’d like a little more time to celebrate, extra party time is available for $100 per additional hour. You can choose to:

  • Add extra time before your 1:00 PM party, or

  • Add extra time after your 4:30 PM party.

Please let us know when booking so we can confirm availability and adjust your reservation accordingly.

What’s your cancellation policy?

A $225 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your party date. If you choose the Reserve Now, Decide Later option, your $225 payment secures your date and will be applied toward your selected package once you finalize your details.

If you choose to book your full party package upfront, please note that the first $225 of that payment is non-refundable.

Cancellations made 14 days or more before your party may receive a refund for the remaining balance (minus the $225 deposit), or have the deposit applied to a future party date within six months.

Cancellations made within 14 days of the event are non-refundable and non-transferable for the full amount.
