FAQ
What ages is River & Root designed for?
Our space is designed for children ages 0–4. Infants and toddlers alike will find developmentally appropriate materials and activities to explore.
Do parents stay during play sessions?
Yes — our space is designed for caregivers and children to enjoy together. One adult is included per child ticket. Additional adults are $5 each.
Are socks required?
Yes. We are a shoe-free facility. Socks are required for both children and adults.
Can we bring strollers?
We are a stroller-free facility due to our small space. Doona and Even-Flo Shyft convertible car-seat strollers are welcome but must be folded once inside. Other infant carriers are welcome too.
Can we bring food or snacks?
Yes, snacks and drinks are welcome but must be enjoyed in our lobby or, in warmer months, on our front porch.
How do I book a play session or party?
All reservations must be made in advance through our online booking system. [Reserve Your Play Session] or [Book a Party].
What about cleanliness and safety?
We meet ASTM standards for materials and toy safety and thoroughly sanitize the space between every session. Our team uses baby-safe, non-toxic cleaning products.
Do you have a nursing space?
River & Root was designed to be a nursing-friendly space throughout, so mothers are absolutely welcome to nurse or feed their little ones anywhere they feel comfortable in the play area or during classes. We really want the whole space to feel relaxed and supportive for families who have nursing children.
That said, we do have a separate area that can be used anytime if someone prefers a little more privacy or a quieter spot to nurse or feed.
